Marie Elliot – Career Coaching
Marie worked in education for many years and was a member of the senior leadership team at her then current school. Marie is passionate about education, desiring all students to achieve their potential. Likewise, she wished to fulfil ambitious professional development goals, aspiring to be a headteacher and to continue to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
Objective
Synergy Education Services are ardent supporters of the mission to see all schools thrive. We recognise that this cannot be achieved without driven and skilful leadership. Jean, School Improvement Director, was able to quickly build a positive rapport with Marie from previous contacts. Marie gave her career progression some consideration but wanted to be clearer about her intent and purpose. Jean’s goal was to give Marie space to confirm her values and encourage her to assess the degree to which her professional development choices aligned with her values and strengths.
Challenge
Coaching is personalised to the needs of the client. Some may need clarity of direction. Others may be certain about their career direction but they are in need of refining the skills required for the next phase of their career journey. Others may simply need a confidence boost.
